Fiji Electricity Authority board chaiman, Nizam-ud- Dean believes partnering innovatively to achieve excellence is what any business needs from its employees to succeed.

This was the message from Mr Dean to participants of FEA’s in house Quality Circle Convention held lastFriday.

FEA’s Quality Circle journey which commenced in 2012 with two quality circle teams has now increased to 44 teams this year with a total participation of 60.42 per cent.

“FEAs Quality Circle mission is to inspire the next generation and create a passion for innovation and ultimately creating value to make a difference everywhere we engage,” Mr Dean said.

“The successful implementation of Quality Circles programme at FEA is primarily based upon recognition of the value of the workers as a human being as someone who willingly innovates on the job, wisdom, intelligence, experience, attitude and feelings.

“It also forms an integral part of the human resource management which is considered as one of the key success factors in the improvement of product quality and achieving productivity at work place.”

Mr Dean said: “For a programme such as this, FEA can be proud of our achievements.

“Part of our success is due to the fact that we have a great Team and also due to our ability to adapt to the changing needs,” he said.

“We are totally focused on a positive environment with a continuous improvement on culture and more importantly a total commitment from all levels in achieving excellence, growth and dedicating ourselves to deliver great value on service delivery to our customers, employees and stakeholders.”
