She joined the tourism industry in 2006 at Travellers Beach Resort in Nadi and rose up the ladder from being a waitress, barmaid, front office including reception and tour desk operator.

“It is over one year and six months at Tanoa and the there has been a lot of changes in the organisation. There is always reason to be challenged and this will bring the best of our service,” she said.

Group training manager Alamjeer Shah said they decided to include the two staff as an exercise.

“We had decided to have a competition for them. Despite that they both qualified for the national,” he said.

“It will be good for them. It is very important to be involved as part of the Salon Culinaire.”
