Dreloa Likely To Play
Finance Pacific Suva defender Jale Dreloa is likely to feature for the team in their Courts Inter-District Championship (IDC) semifinal against Ba at 7pm.
Dreloa is currently out of the squad with a boil on his leg but coach Gurjit Singh said they were keeping a close eye on him.
“We are not sure at this point as the doctors are still giving him medication but we are monitoring him closely,” Singh said.
“We want to make sure that he is properly fit and well to play and we would like him to play. But it’s still early days and we won’t know anything until later.”
Ba has remained unbeaten throughout the tournament and will give the defending champions a run for their money. Singh admits that it will be the toughest game yet for them.
“.Ba is a very well organised team and it will no doubt be a hard game for us but we are preparing accordingly,” he said.
“We know the mistakes we have done in our previous games; we have missed a lot of chances to score and scoring goals is important, so we hope to better that in this game against Ba.”
With a new and revived Suva team, Singh said he would put out his strongest team and is confident but knows that in a game of football, anything is can happen.
“The players have settled in now and because we have completely new players in the team, finding the right combination was a bit difficult but I believe we have that sorted out.
“Anything can happen in a 90- minute game, so all we want to do is go in and do our best.”
Meanwhile, Ba coach Imdad Ali declined to comment.
The first semifinal of the Courts IDC will be at 5pm between Nadi and Labasa and Suva face Ba in the second semifinal at 7pm tonight.
