What is your Chinese New Year wish?

I wish all my family members a healthy and safe year ahead which is the most important thing for me.

What does Chinese New Year mean to you?

It is the most important period for friends and family to get together, catch up and talk about the past and future.

Review what we all did last year, and thinking about what we need to do next year and also a great opportunity to get together to share what happened to us in the past year.

What are your goals for the Year of the Fire Monkey?

To build my dream house in Fiji.

What’s the most interesting thing about you and your culture?

The most interesting thing about Chinese people is that we work hard, and we also spend hard.

How did you celebrate the festival as a child?

Fooling around with neighbours kids, lighting fireworks to make noise everywhere.

What traditions do you still keep, and how do you celebrate Chinese New Year today?

We have kept most of our traditions especially cooking different traditional Chinese food during different Chinese festival. Hot pot dinner with family and friends for Chinese New Year Eve to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

How will you be celebrating Chinese New Year?

I will be inviting friends and family home to enjoy the beautiful hot weather and ocean view as it is normally cold in China during Chinese New Year.

What animal zodiac sign were you born under, and do you think there are similarities between you and your animal sign?

I was born in the Year of the Mouse.

I feel I am very similar to my zodiac sign as for people born in the Year of the Mouse are normally very positive, always thinking in a very positive way, and working very hard, in every industry they play a very important leadership role.

The mouse is also the number one leading animal of the total 12 animal sign in China.
