Former Vodafone Flying Fijian star second five eight Seremaia Bai is set to hang his boots at the end of the season.

The 37-year-old, currently in his second season at English premiership club Leicester, is looking to ‘call it a day’ as a professional player after nearly 20 years of senior rugby.

His last 10 years have been spent in the elite European clubs of Clermont, Castres and the Tigers. Some 200 games and 20 tries does little justice to what he has brought to those sides.

Bai has won 50 Test Caps for Fiji, 2 Rugby World Cups and an influential figure on and off the pitch- the perfect senior pro.

Already involved in PIPA, the Islands Players Rugby Union, his energies are likely to be channelled to ensure the new crop of Fijians in Europe stay on the straight and narrow path.
