Army Green’s new find Alosio Naduva played a man of the match performance in their 22-7 win over Army Red in the Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s Cup final at Prince Charles Park, Nadi yesterday.

The Naweni native from Cakaudrove dazzled the crowd with his speed as he scored twice in the final. The other tries came from Jone Saunivalu and Joeli Lesavua as they led 17-0 at half time.

The Peni Naruma captained Army Reds hit back with their lone try from halfback Inia Tawalo but it was too late as Army Green walked away with the $12,000 prizemoney.

In the Oldies, WAF Oldies created history as they ended Nawaka’s dominance with a 19-7 victory. The Raijieli Uluinayau-captained Striders retained their women’s title in a 12 – 0 win over Nadi Blazers.
