Tappoo Group Hand Over Vehicles For Rehabilitation Work

The Tappoo Group , sole distributor and agents of Mahindra vehicles in Fiji, yesterday handed over two vehicles to the Government at the CarCity showroom in Nabua.
Tappoo Group Executive Director, Mahendra Tappoo said: “When Mahindra Group learnt of the plight of our people, they immediately relayed their sympathies and support and kindly agreed to donate two utility vehicles for the benefit of Fiji.”
He said the vehicles are Mahindra’s renowned tough, powerful and rugged Manhindra Scorpio Twin Cab 4×4 Pik Ups ideally suited for relief works by the National Disaster Management Committee.
“We are grateful to the Chairman and Managing Director of the Mahindra Group Mr. Anand Mahindra and its President and CEO Mr Pravin Shah for their extreme generosity,’’Mr Tappoo’s said.
Receiving the vehicles on behalf of the Government was the Minister for Agriculture, Rural Development and National Disaster Management,Inia Seruiratu.
Mr Seruiratu said the vehicles would be very useful in the recovery framework that the Government is working towards.
“On behalf of the government, we acknowledge Tappoo Group and Mahindra Group for their support and generosity,’’Mr Seruiratu said.
“We need capabilities to get us to the remote areas in Fiji which has always been a challenge for the government and these vehicles will be utilized well by DISMAC.”
