The Dreketi football side are leaving no stones unturned as they prepare for tonight’s showdown against Nadroga in the Vodafone Premier League clash. Not only that, the Northerners will then travel to Prince Charles Park, Nadi to face Lautoka on Sunday.

The Arthur Simmons coached-side have played a series of warm-up matches against Labasa at Subrail Park, Labasa early this week.

“We are aiming to grab six points from our two matches,” Simmons said.

“I believe we are the only team that will play the most league matches in a week after this weekend. Moreover, looking at the fixtures my team hasn’t been given much recovery time which is a concern to me but nevertheless, we are going to maintain our discipline and play as planned.”

Labasa football coach Johan Leewai said the warm-up games were to build up their momentum of preparation for the Vodafone Premier League.

“Also we looked at it as ways players could build-up their fitness as well,”

The Babasiga Lions have played one league match which was against Dreketi at their home ground in February.
