The Telecom Fijian Warriors have dropped Timoci Sauvoli and Aprposa Duwai from the squad to tour Uruguay. Warriors coach Senirusi Seruvakula said this was done so that they could meet the required number of players to take.
“In the locks we are only taking three and there were four so we dropped Aporosa and same goes for Sauvoli,” he said.
“It is a shame that we are not taking them, if we were allowed to take more players then they would be able to come.”
Seruvakula said the focus for the team is to build-up on the momentum from their win in the World Rugby Pacific Challenge in March.
“Our main aim is to lift our performance from our last game during the PRC and also defend the trophy against Uruguay. Playing against Uruguay is not easy and it will be a real challenge for us but every game is a chance for us to improve so we are looking forward to it.”
The Warriors march into camp on May 5 at the Pacific Theological College (PTC) in Suva.
