Labasa football team is fully prepared to face Lautoka and Nadroga in the Vodafone Premier League competition over the weekend on the Western side of Viti Levu.

Team coach Johan Leewai said his aim was to have six points from these two league matches with the first one against Nadroga on Friday and their second match two days later against Lautoka on Sunday.

“We have been preparing to meet Lautoka and Nadroga for more than four weeks now,” Leewai said.

“We have some new players Krishneel Krishna, Vilikesa Sowane, Ilisoni Logaivau and former Suva player Inia Boko.

“At the moment we have 25 players in the squad. Currently, we do not have a full squad present for training as some are working in Viti Levu.

“However, they will join us in the weekend.”

Taniela Waqa will lead his side for the two games.

Labasa team vice president Varun Anand said three national U-20 players Iliesa Nayafi, Mohammed Isaac and Akeimi Ralulu would be joining the team.

“We are happy to have these three players joining us and we would like to request the Babasiga fans to come, witness and support their players play on the field.”

Labasa have only played only one game so far in the league competition where they won 6-0 on their home ground in February.
