Selected Fijian designers have come together and will now display their products at the Essence of Fiji Rejuvenation Centre Complex in Nadi Back Road.

Operating from this Fiji Fashion Design and Art Gallery is expected to save them the high costs associated in operating their own shops.

The designers will have an economical outlet for the promotion and sale of their product, and visitors and locals alike will have the opportunity to see the items on display at a convenient location.

The announcement was made yesterday during the last day of the Fijian Tourism Expo 2016 at the Denarau Convention Centre.

The Fashion Design component will feature fashionable attire, including clothes and jewellery, made by designers who are from Fiji, or have made Fiji their home.

Featured labels will include Bulalicious, Rako, Totoka Jewellery and more.

In addition to the product supplied by Fiji designers, local artists are also encouraged to display their creations at the Centre.

Managed by Tokani Arts, artworks hang within the main hall of the Centre, and visitors are also welcome to purchase the art, which can be carefully packaged for their onward travel.

Other features

Another exciting new feature is the Bridal Studio. Brides can select their wedding dress and for their special day be attired at the Centre, with their hair, make-up and nails all done at the same place.

An extension of this service is the photography and videography option which is on-site, and allows couples to book nearly all their wedding service needs at the one venue.

Ms Sadranu said: “We, at the Essence of Fiji Rejuvenation Centre, continue to strive to add value to our products and services, particularly from within the local community.

“The promotion of Fiji creations complements what we offer in our range of products and services, and with the opening of the Bridal Studio, visitors to our Centre can enjoy a one-stop shop.”

She said part of the proceeds from the wedding dress hire being donated to selected charities for women.
