Three Fijian overseas singers will be gracing the stage tomorrow night at the Fiji Performance Rights Association awards night at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.

They are Fijian artists George Fiji Veikoso, Rhythm and Blues pop singer and songwriter, Paulini Curuenavuli and Fiji’s first to ever audition on The Voice Australia, Ilisavani Cava.

Mr Veikoso said he was honoured to have been given the opportunity to perform at the awards night as it would also be his first.

“This opportunity was very important and dear to my heart to be here to show support for my homeland and all the musicians who influenced me while growing up as an artist here in Fiji,” Mr Veikoso said.

“I am very grateful to be able to come here and give back and encourage all those who are established right now to continue on our journey to make sure we represent Fiji in every way possible not only musically but in every other aspects of life.

“You should expect me to be proud of being a Fijian and the music. I will sing some songs. It’s very exciting and be prepared for me to be in rare form.”

He also hopes to meet up with local artists and help inspire and rekindle the passion they have for music.
