Fiji men’s Under-23 football coach Frank Farina is proud of his players’ achievements at the Rio Olympic Games.

The former Australian national coach is adamant that they would further improve against Germany when they clash at Mineirao, Belo Horizonte in Brazil tomorrow morning.

“My players can hold their heads high,” Farina said.

Playing in their first ever Olympic Games, the Fijians bounced back from an 8-0 loss to South Korea to take a first half lead of 1-0 against reigning Olympic champions Mexico.

The Mexicans hit back after half-time, scoring five goals, but Farina says they have improved and are now moving on to the next challenge.
