The much-improved Dreketi football team are determined not to lose any more points in their Vodafone Premier League matches this weekend.

Playing at Subrail Park, Labasa, Dreketi face defending champions Nadi at 5.30pm on Saturday while on Sunday they take on Ba at 3pm.

Speaking to SUNsports yesterday Dreketi coach Johan Leewai said they have three points and are ranked seventh on the points table.

“Our aim is not to end this competition by being the last team on the points table.” Leewai said.

“We are expecting a tough battle from the western teams. We have three points already and we will make sure not to drop any point. The players are ready for the two matches and they will give their all to get more points.”

Leewai said they have the fitness after a tough battle at the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants tournament.

The Dreketi coach said like Labasa they are calling on the support of their home fans.

“We are urging people from our district to come to the park this weekend to support the team.

“These two matches are very crucial for us and the players are dedicated in their training.

“Punctuality and discipline are the strength of these players.”
