Nasiga Gets Warriors Recall
Veteran Nadroga rugby captain Rupeni Nasiga has won back his place in the Telecom Fijian Warriors team for the Americas Pacific Challenge. The names of the final Warriors team were released by Fiji Rugby Union chief executive officer John O’Connor yesterday.
The tournament is hosted by the Uruguay Rugby Union in Montevideo, Uruguay from October 8-16. Other unions that will participate in the tournament are USA, Canada, Argentina and hosts Uruguay.
The APC 2016 will be a round robin, first past the post tournament format played across three competition rounds.
The Warriors are in Pool B, with Canada A and Uruguay A, while the Argentina Jaguars, USA A and Samoa A are in Pool A.
O’Connor congratulated the team on their selection and wished them all the best for the tournament. The team depart our shores on October 3.
