The Fijiana XV side took time out yesterday ahead of the Oceania Women’s Rugby World Cup qualifier against Papua New Guinea.

The one-off test will be at the ANZ Stadium, Suva this Saturday.

The team management hosted the team with their family members at My Suva Park.

Bai said the day was the best chance for the girls to meet their family members and their families to understand the hardships these girls go through on and off the field.

“We try to get in everybody and for me it’s important to know the families,” Bai said.

“To know what the girls are doing, it’s important we have the support from home then they get their blessing.

“We’ve the best 26 players and rugby means so massive to them.”

The winner of this one-off match will take their place alongside two Asian teams in the final qualifying event in Hong Kong in December for WRWC 2017.

The top two sides from this tournament will complete the 12-team line-up the World Cup, which runs on August 9-26 in Dublin.

The match will kick off at 3pm with tickets being sold at $5 flat at the Fiji Sports Council Office in Suva.
