Biggest Local Drag Race, Car Show in December
The Fiji Car Club for the first time will be hosting a car show and the biggest drag race together on December 18th.
This was confirmed by the Vice President of Fiji Car Club, Sandeep Prakash.
“We are expecting a good turnout on the day of the event,” he said.
“I’m sure we will cross 50 participants this year again as Christmas is coming up and this is the last race of the year,” he said.
“We want everyone who has been taking part to partake in this event as we want to make it the biggest event for Fiji Car Club.”
He said the ladies categories for the race were free of charge.
“Ladies participating throughout the year and who want to be part of this last drag race can race for free,” Mr Prakash said.
“There are a total of 20- 25 women who have participated and they are definitely interested in racing in the next event.”
As for male participants, the fee varies.
“For existing members, they can pay a fee of $25 and if you are not a member, you can pay $50 for membership on the day of the race and you can race for free.”
Hampers to the winners of the categories will be sponsored by Pacific Energy.
Mr Prakash has also urged members of the club to send confirmation if they wanted to take part.
Spectators can watch the race and the car show free of charge and enjoy their day with their family members.
The event will be held at Nanuku in Navua.
