Sisters To Compete In Dance Off Finale

Two sisters are among six finalists who will compete in the Nescafe ‘Make Youth Move’ dance off finale.

The competition is organised by Nescafe and Fiji Broadcasting Corporation (FBC) 2Day FM Radio Station. The final showcase of dance talents by the lot is on Saturday at Albert Park Pavilion and Grounds.

It began on September 29.

The winner will receive $3000, first runner-up $2000 and second runner-up $1000. They will also get a chance to perform live with FBC.

 

 

Becky Wainiu:

Age: 19 year

Status: Year 13 student at the Suva Grammar School

How do you feel to be one of the six finalists?

I feel so happy that I have been selected as one of the six finalists and it’s also a great opportunity to showcase my dancing talent.

Why do you love to dance?

Dancing relieves my stress and every dancing moves and action is relaxing, and I enjoy dancing.

How do feel about competing against your sister in the finals?

I feel so confident because she is by my side and always supporting me. She always helps and gives me advise to me. I will be happy if she wins the final.

 

Mary Wainiu

Age: 20-year-old

Status: Second year Law and Physiology student at the University of the South Pacific

How do you feel to be one of the six finalists?

I feel blessed to be in the finals and I thankful to the organisers, FBC and Nescafe, for coming up with a platform where youths can showcase their dancing talents.

Why do you love to dance?

Dance is expression, which allows me to do what I want to do and it relieves stress.

How do you feel about competing against your sister in the finals?

I’m happy to be in the finals with my younger sister. We get to test each other out.
