Visoto Kindergarten Celebrates Its Graduates
Visoto Kindergarten students on Ovalau celebrated their graduation last Friday.
The kindergarten opened this year with only 28 students. By the end 151 students had enrolled.
There are plans to open a new class in Nasova to cater for children living in the Levuka Town area.
Head teacher Suluo Waqa was grateful to those who assisted in the set-up of the kindergarten.
“Throughout the year, we participated in all activities provided by the Primary School at Visoto District School where the main centre is.”
In Term 2 the kindergarten participated in the closing of the Early Childhood Week at Bureta. They also catered for children from the villages of Bureta, Naqeledamu, Nukutocia, Visoto, Nacobo and Natokalau at the Visoto District School.
Children who graduated this year include 49 five-year-olds and six four-year-olds.
Operational Manager for Bumble Bee Sea Foods, Brett Carter was the chief guest at the celebrations.
