Craig Sims Is New CEO, Director For Asco Motors
Toyota Tsusho South Sea Limited trading as Asco Motors has announced the appointment of Craig Sims as its new chief executive and director.
Mr Craig was born, raised and educated in Brisbane, Australia and is of Sri Lankan heritage.
In his new role, his main focus is to enhance customer service and retention and ensure that our people are well trained, committed to the company and enjoy coming to work.
Mr Sims is looking forward to becoming engaged in the local business community and is seeking to increase the visibility of ASCO Motors back into the community.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Economics degree and a post-graduate Masters of Business Administration from the University of Queensland.
His professional qualifications include being a Certified Practising Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor.
His career spans across industries including the Australian Government, where he worked for three years in Canberra before moving to Perth to join a chartered accountancy firm.
In 2007, he returned to Brisbane in to join Toyota Tsusho South Pacific Holdings, in the Internal Audit section.
He progressed to Group Internal Audit Manager in 2010, a position he held until 2014, upon whence he was seconded to Fiji as the general manager for Toyota Tsusho South Pacific Holdings Fiji Branch.
In this role, he assumed responsibility for operations in Samoa, American Samoa and Tonga.
He is married to Elizabeth, a teacher at International Secondary School and they have a five-year-old son.
