Vinod Patel and Company Limited in partnership with Save the Children Fiji yesterday launched a toy drive campaign in order to collect toys for the less fortunate children for Christmas.

Vinod Patel general manager sales and operations Neelesh Pal Singh said this was an yearly initiative to give back and make Christmas joyous for children in the hospitals, orphanages.

“As part of Vinod Patel and Company we are happy that we engage with Save the Children Fund as we are part of this toy drive,” Mr Singh said.

He said Vinod Patel was happy and proud to partner with Save the Children Fiji.

“We are looking at growing this partnership annually,” he said.

Save the Children Fiji chief executive Iris Low- McKenzie said the initiative also accommodated for children who had suffered during Cyclone Winston.

“This year has been a really challenging year for a lot of people and especially children due to Cyclone Winston,” Ms Low- McKenzie said.

“So this initiative is really going to put a smile on the children’s faces particularly in the festive season.”

She also said the presents would be delivered to the children one week before Christmas.

Vinod Patel and Save the Children Fiji started this partnership in 2013 and are hopeful of continuing with the partnership in years to come.

Members of the public who are interested in donating for this worthy cause can donate at any Vinod Patel outlet Fiji wide.
