“I will portray a good leadership role and set a good example to students,” said newly inducted head boy Simon Peters

A 45-year-old mother yesterday felt so happy after seeing the realisation of a eight-year-old dream come true for her son, Simon Peters, after the induction of the prefects at the Draiba Primary School, Suva.

Elena Vula said her son Simon always dreamt of becoming a headboy one day since his first year at the school.

“It was always his dream to become a headboy of his school,” Ms Vula said.

“Since his Year One, Simon has been telling me that he wants to become the headboy of Draiba Primary School.

“I always had faith in him that he would become a headboy of his school.”

Ms Vula said Simon was so excited when he was informed by his school teachers that he was going to lead the school.

“I am so thankful to God for making my dream become a reality,” Simon said.

“Being a headboy of the school is a huge responsibility for me.

“I will portray a good leadership role and set a good example to students.”

Headgirl, Sera Kaikuyawa said: “I am really happy becoming the headgirl of Draiba Primary School.

“It was also my dream to become a headgirl of the school and thank God for giving this leadership opportunity.

“I want to set a good examples to junior students.”

Deputy headgirl, Teresia Nariki was also thankful of her new role.

“I will support the school headboy and headgirl to lead the school,” she said.
