CEOs will play a major role in FHRI awards, says Batiweti
Chief executive officers will play a major role when it comes to the upcoming Fiji Human Resource Institute (FHRI) awards.
This was the comment made by the FHRI president, Kameli Batiweti as the institute hosted CEO’s of different companies to a cocktail at Tanoa Plaza Hotel in Suva yesterday.
“We are now launching the awards that Fiji Human Resource Practitioners practice to the chief executive officers because without their support the award will be meaningless,” Batiweti said.
He added the chief executive officers needed to provide more information on the human resource practitioners from their company who get nominated for the awards.
“The CEO needs to clarify and endorse the application,” he said.
“Under each criterion, they will need to give success stories and give examples of how they have performed throughout the year.”
Mr Batiweti also encouraged every company to apply for the awards.
“Those who are not members are encouraged to apply along with the members,” he said.
“Any company with deserving Human Resource practitioners should apply to encourage their staff.”
Those intending to apply for the awards are advised to apply before April 18th.
The awards night will be held in Suva on May 20th.
The venue is yet to be decided.
