Sairusi Nalabu scored a double in Suva 5-0 thumping of Rakiraki in the fourth round of the 2017 Vodafone Premier League at the Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori yesterday.

The other scorers are Sahil Dave, Ravinash Singh and Sakenasa Rakaria.

Suva coach Shivam Nathan was impressed with the performance despite the absence of some key players.

“We were expecting to win but we could have scored two or three more. But I’m still happy with the performance despite not having some of our key players like Setareki Hughes.

“Some of the players are in the national side which I guess boosted the performance of the boys and I hope they continue to be consistent,” Nathan said.

Rakiraki Football president Shanil Goundar said they could not train together and this affected their performance.

“Most of our players are based in Suva so they cannot make time to train together and they are no proper training grounds in Rakiraki,” Goundar said.
