Nadi Elects Rayasi
Ponijese Rayasi has been appointed as the new president of the Nadi Rugby Union (NRU).
The Tokatoka Westfield 7s Rugby Club president replaced Sekove Tuilakeba during the annual general meeting yesterday.
“It is time to give someone new to take up the post, the NRU needs a young and fresh mind to take it to another level,” Tuilakeba said.
“The change is also part of the NRU’s strategic direction, in terms of, succession planning.”
Rayasi was the NRU vice-president prior to the election. Tuilakeba will now look after the NRU’s marketing and sponsorship sub-committee.
“The NRU completed its AGM after it was called into recess on February 25, to enable the completion of the audit on the financial reports for 2016,” said secretary Ilimeleki Navula.
