$3M Upgrade For Hard Rock Café
The Hard Rock Café at the Port Denarau Complex will be undergoing major renovations by the owners Jack’s of Fiji Group.
Jack’s of Fiji Group have confirmed that the investment is worth $3 million and scheduled to start at the end of next month.
Jack’s of Fiji chain of restaurants chief executive Eugene Gomes said: “We are going to do major Hard Rock renovations. We are not renovating it but stripping the whole of Hard Rock and making a new Hard Rock.
“We are changing the bar from one corner to the other corner, and extending outside Patio area, and to have a rooftop.”
Hard Rock previously occupied one side of the first level of the complex and also a portion of the ground level too.
“Now it’s going to be based at the bottom, upstairs we want to keep it as a conference room. And we have some other ideas to do restaurant, retail, and will have a new look,” said Mr Gomes.
About Hard Rock Cafe
Hard Rock Cafe International is a chain of theme restaurants founded in 1971 by Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton in London.
Currently, there are 191 Hard Rock locations in 59 countries, including 168 cafes, 23 hotels, and 11 casinos.
He added Hard Rock had operated in Fiji for ten years and this upgrade was a must.
“It is a very important thing for business to sustain and survive and give a fresh look so people are attracted to it,” he said.
“If we have the same restaurant for years people get tired and bored for years so we have to upgrade.
“Another shop downstairs will be added to the retail business and that goes around $3 million. It is a total new Hard Rock,” he said.
Mr Gomes added that their paper work was finalised and the upgrade would commence early next month and complete in June.
