FIA Prepares For Congress Next Month
More than 400 accountants, business leaders and other invited people will attend the 45th Fiji Institute of Accountants (FIA) congress next month.
The delegates will hear from eminent speakers from Fiji and abroad on the theme, ‘Embracing the Fundamentals for Success.’
One of the featured, local speaker Ram Bajekal, the highly successful managing director of FMF Group.
Speakers from abroad include:
Rod Jackson, Chief Financial Officer for Westpac International.
Mr Jackson provides finance and strategy leadership to the Wespac International Division that includes Asia, Europe and the Americas based in Singapore.
He will speak on ‘international Mega Trends: Opportunities and Challenges for Business.’
Andrew May, Partner KMPG performance clinic.
Mr May is recognised as Australia’s leading expert on workplace performance. He will speak on ‘Matchfit@40,’ stimulating your body and brain to play and compete at a consistently high level.
Tracey Ryan, New Zealand Leader, Climate change and sustainability services, Ernst and Young Limited.’
Mrs Ryan leads a team of specialist across Sustainability Strategy and non-financial Reporting, impact and Outcome measurement, climate change and energy and health, safety and environment. She will speak on ‘Enabling a Sustainable Future- Mega Trends Impacting Business.’
Holly King, Technology Partner, Price WaterhouseCoopers (PwC)
Mr King is one of PwC’s star technology partners based in Sydney. He will speak on ‘Global Technology Changes; Opportunities and Challenges for Fiji.
The two-days congress is on the 21st and 22nd of next month at the Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa.
