Rebrand Sees Return Of Suva Peninsula
The rebranded Suva Peninsula Hotel offers a number of revamped facilities that are open to the public.
Just minutes away from the city; the hotel is located at the corner of Pender Street and McGregor Road, in Suva.
Hotel general manager Novitesh Chand said Peninsula International Hotel was rebranded early this year to Suva Peninsula Hotel because they wanted to revive the old name.
“For great dining the Hillcrest Restaurant and Café is opened from 6.30am to 11.00pm at this hotel. It is really affordable,” Mr Chand said.
“The new restaurant provides daily lunch and dinner specials besides the ala-carte menus and fresh pastries are done on a daily basis and business has been doing well since it opened six months ago.”
Mr Chand added: “The restaurant was previously on level three, we decided to move it down because of accessibility to the general public and to boost the food and beverage department.
“We basically have a coffee shop and highly trained barista’s to serve you with varieties of coffees. There is a meal choice for everyone’s taste.
“We implemented new menus and we have guests who are enjoying and many more people can enjoy it.”
The restaurant was rebranded as well.
“The restaurant was rebranded back to Hillcrest Restaurant and Café because the hotel used to have a bar back in the 70s with that name and we decided to revive it.
“It can cater for up to 60 to 80 people depending on the setup.
“Located on the second floor is our Baka Bar. It has been renovated into a sports lounge with fully air-conditioned and smoke free Bar; it opens from 2pm to 10pm daily.”
He said the renovation for the conference room would probably finish by next week .
The hotel has 100 rooms. The standard, deluxe and suite rooms have been newly renovated.
They have also invested in uniforms for different departments at the hotel as part of the rebranding process.
