Today is the finals day of this year’s Powerade Junior Pro presented by Cloudbreak at the Sigatoka sand dunes. The spectators are taking full advantage of the mobile scaffold to view all the action in 1metre surf.

In the 19 and under boys local Coral Coast surfers Jimmy Tuitavuki and Apisai Camino have been standouts in the talented field. The Samoan contingent has been hard pressed to produce the same level of performance so the finals could be very close.

Sisters Kayla and Kiesha Wakeham have shown the girls can match it as well with local Kulukulu girl Filo also in the finals mix.

The 16 and under boys Kalani Wakeham and John Vasea have lifted their surfing performances and should feature in the finals. A couple of youngsters from Vodo Ua,  Wailoaloa, Vunaniu and Tabanivono clubs have also been impressive highlighting the depth of talent coming through.

The finals kickoff around 9am, so get down to the Sigatoka sand dunes and watch our young surfers in action. There’s food available on the beach along with plenty of Powerade. Turn off Queens Rd at the Club MASA sign and follow the signs until you reach Club MASA. You’ll be impressed with the surfing talent.

The FSA is very grateful to our sponsors Powerade, Cloudbreak, Fiji National Sports Commission, Crow’s Nest Resort and Fiji SUN. Your support has made the event possible.
