Bua To Maintain Unbeaten Run

March 29
11:00 2017

The Bua football side recorded their second win after they walloped Nadogo 3-0 during the Vodafone Senior League clash at Nadogo Central College ground last weekend.

Bua assistant coach Diven Prasad said the challenge now for them is to maintain their form.

“Despite the fact that some of our players suffered serious injuries we were able to form a team and take on Nadogo,” Prasad said.

“We won against Savusavu in our first game and now it’s Nadogo so we are looking forward to our game Seaqaqa at Seaqaqa Muslim Primary School this weekend.”

Prasad said they are leading the points table and are confident of remaining there until the competition is over.

However, a disappointed Nadogo coach Navindra Pratap said the referee needs to check the players thoroughly before the game begins.

“Some players use carton as a shield on their legs and the referee failed to check this,” he added.

Other results:

Taveuni 1-1 Seaqaqa,

Nadogo 0-3 Bua,

Navua 0-1 Tailevu/Naitasiri,

Vatukoula 1-8 Tavua,

Northland Tailevu 0–10 Nadroga,

Nasinu 1–1 Lami
