Striker Andrew Naicker was the toast of Ranjesh & Company Kings FC as they beat Namaka FC 1-0.

This was the main game of the second round of KK’s Hardware Nadi FA local league competition at Prince Charles Park, Nadi.

The lanky Naicker headed the ball past goalkeeper Samuela Tamanisau midway the second spell after receiving a well-timed cross from Rusiate Matererega in the box.

Kings FC laced with Nadi reps in the likes of goalie Vereti Dickson, Luke Rawadamu, Matererega, Inia Boko have recorded two straight wins this season.

But it was no walk in the park as both teams were locked nil-all at the breather and both teams were reduced to 10-men each.

Midfielder Afraaz Ali of Kings FC and Jone Salauneune of Namaka FC copped two yellow cards each for unprofessional play from referee Andrew Achari. Kings FC manager Abdul Khan said they were happy with the win but they but could have scored more goals.

“This was our second win and we treated it like the final. It was sad that we had to play with only ten players due to cards being flashed, but we are still unbeaten with the aim to win the league this season.”

Namaka FC had the services of former national rep Isoa Ratuva, Salauneune, Krishna Sami, and Alvin Prakash.

Results: Super Premier- Down Town Blues 0-3 Mans United, Malolo 3-2 Blues Sports, Ranjesh & Company Kings FC 1–0 Namaka FC
