Coca-Cola Amatil Fiji has indicated that there are plans for interesting activities to take place during the Coca-Cola Games on April 20-22 at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.

Coca-Cola Amatil Fiji marketing manager Lawrence Tikaram confirmed to SUNsports yesterday that they are collaborating with the Fiji Secondary School Athletics Association for this year’s programme.

“There will be some interesting plans for this year’s Coca-Cola Games as we have to finalise few formats with event coordinator Master Vuli Waqa,” he said.

“The event will be done over three days as you may know the whole idea was to see how much we can pack into those days ensuring athletes get adequate rest.”

Tikaram also commended the efforts displayed by various schools during the zonal competitions.

“The zones have become very competitive it shows the students have put a lot of effort into preparing for the Coca-Cola Games, it’s their sign of commitment not only to their school but to their families and supporters.

“They are the ones that make the successful games and all credits must go to their coaches and teachers for putting the hard yards.

“I know some athletes are preparing in advance of their training schedule, the Western zone had their combined trials last week in Lautoka, hopefully we put in a lot of entertainment which will spread out during the three days and have an early finish on Saturday, April 22.”
