At the recent Model United Nations (MUN) in Suva, a team of senior students from International School Nadi (ISN) took out top prize.

The ISN students took out the overall award and brought home the 2017 MUN Cup.

Their organising teacher, Hannah Uluinakauvadra, said her students had worked hard this term.

She was impressed with their confidence and in-depth knowledge of the conference agenda. She also felt that the ISN students had the edge when thinking on their feet and responding to questions that were posed by other delegates.

“They were very diplomatic in their approach to the debates and represented the ethos of ISN very successfully in all that they did. The school looks forward to participating in MUN 2018 and the opportunity to bring the cup back to ISN once more,” she said.

ISN participated alongside five other schools – Marist Brothers High School, St Joseph’s Secondary School, Adi Cakobau School, Jai Narayan College and International School Suva.

The Nadi-based school students received three major delegate awards.

There were four committees operating at the Model United Nations and the ISN students received awards in all four committee areas.
