There is a cloud of doubt over Jack’s Nadi skipper Vereti Dickson featuring against Rakiraki at 3pm on Sunday for the Vodafone Premier League clash.

Rakiraki will host the ‘Green Machine’ at Garvey Park in Tavua.

The Nadi skipper, who plays as goalkeeper, sustained an injury during the club game as his victorious side Kings FC edged Namaka FC 1-0 over the weekend.

Ace striker Josevata Dug ucagi is likely to miss the clash due to work commitment.

“This is a crucial match for Nadi as we need the maximum (points),” said team manager Krishna Sami.

“We have faced a setback since two players are likely not to feature this week,” Sami said.

“Our preparation has suffered as the team only returned to training on Tuesday after a long break and there was a lot of rain.”

Despite the challenges the side faced, the team still boasts the likes of striker Afraaz Ali, Inia Boko, Rusiate Matererega, AmeVotonui and defender Luke Rawadamu.

Nadi currently is in the sixth spot in the VPL points table with four points following one win and a draw while Rakiraki is at the bottom of the table, pointless after four matches.

“Rakiraki is a good team but we need the maximum  points from this clash,” Sami said.

Lautoka (9) leads the table from three games ahead of Labasa (7), Suva (6), Rewa (6) and Ba (6) on the fifth spot.

In other matches in the Vodafone Premier League this week, Dreketi will be hosted by Labasa at Subrail Park at 7pm on Sunday.

On Sunday, Rewa host Suva at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori, 3pm, Rakiraki host Nadi at Garvey Park, Tavua.
