Queen Victoria School were crowned Under-15 champs after beating Ratu Kadavulevu School 14–10 during the final of the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori yesterday.

QVS opening try was scored by skipper Moape Rogosuka and the second try was dotted down by Joe Savou Jnr during  the first half. Joseva Asai added the extras through a conversion and penalty.

QVS U15 manager Jolame Sorovi said he was expecting to win the title since they had put in a lot of work.

“I feel excited as it was a tough match and plus our opponents were known for their good physicality so winning today is just an icing on the cake.

“So what really matters was our preparations and we had prepared our boys really well.”

Dummy half values team work

Joseva Asai of Queen Victoria School was awarded the Best Player in the Under-15 grade in the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League finals at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori yesterday.

“I thank God for giving me the strength for coming this far and also I thank the boys, our manager, coach for their support.”
