The Suva TIV football team have qualified to today’s Sangam Conventions quarterfinal playoffs at Subrail Park in Labasa.

This was after the capital city side walloped Hamilton 3-0 before they edged out Middlemore 2-1 yesterday. Suva TIV Football president Krishna Pillay told SUNsports that they have a very strong team.

“We have district reps like Madhuvan Gounder, Shahil Dave, Shekhar Reddy, Daniel Dass, Krishneel Shekhar from Rakiraki, Dinesh Mudaliar and Nathan Kumar from Nasinu along with national under-17 rep Shahil Gounder,” Pillay said.

“These are dedicated players who have trained under the guidance of coach Alan Jesoni for the past two months. We are confident and we will take the Sangam Convention Super Premier trophy home. The last time we won was in 2015.”

Pillay said they are grateful to their sponsors Home and Living and New Line Chemical for their support.
