Bigger, bolder, better; the vision for the Fiji International is coming to life with just four months to go until the tournament tees off at the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course.

The Fiji International team is this week meeting with their key partners for the 2017 Fiji International Sponsor Conference.

This is a chance for everyone to gather and discuss the tournament, review the journey the Fiji International has taken over the past four years and establish the vision for the future.

With representatives from the PGA of Australia, Sports and Entertainment Limited, Tourism Fiji, Ministry of Tourism, Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course, Natadola Real Estate, Fiji Airways, InterContinental Golf Resort and Spa, Westpac, Paradise Beverages, Airports Fiji Limited, Fiji Water, Tappoo, Victoria Wines, Kriz Signs,  Coastal Rental, Fiji Sun, Fiji TV, FBCTV and Explore Fiji present a productive think tank will ensure this year’s Fiji International truly is bigger, bolder and better.

While important topics to be covered include marketing, communications, hospitality and game development, this two day conference is also a networking opportunity for some of the leading business minds in Fiji.

The Fiji International Sponsors Conference will allow partners input into the tournament but also allow them to connect and work together to build and grow their own business opportunities.

A key aspect of any major event in the lead up is marketing. The major focuses of the marketing plan for the Fiji International it to grow brand awareness in Fiji and capturing the attention of golf fans all over the world.

The Fiji International has presence in a number of international publications including Australian Golf Digest, Golf Australia Magazine, Inside Golf and New Zealand Golf Magazine.

In 2017 this will be enhanced by a number of international journalists from Australia, New Zealand and Asia visiting Fiji and Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course during tournament week.

Media coverage of the Fiji International is achieved all over the world including key Fijian markets like Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, India and the United States.

In 2016 more than 1800 reports were generated about the Fiji International in Australia and New Zealand alone. This reached more than eight million people worldwide. This was more media coverage than the first two years generated and in 2017 this will be increased again.

I’m in, are you? The catch cry of the Fiji International will continue in 2017 as a way of identifying the ambassadors, players and sponsors involved with the tournament.

Also continuing in 2017 is the development of golf in Fiji.

The Fiji International aims to leave a lasting legacy of the game in Fiji and this year school programs across the nation will continue with the Fiji International training a Fijian coach dedicated to junior golf.

Fiji is renowned for its warm and friendly hospitality and in 2017 the Fiji International is placing a large premium on ensuring this is emulated in the corporate hospitality at the tournament.
Sponsors this week will be treated to a preview of the corporate hospitality menu that will be offered. Working with the Executive Chef at the InterContinental Golf Resort and Spa, a modern grazing menu has been developed that will allow for a more holistic dining experience.

Guests will be able to socialise, watch the golf whilst feasting on a constant flow of food.

Sponsors will sample the menu which has also been designed to complement the Victoria Wines and Paradise Beverages served during the Fiji International.

The Fiji International is a world class tournament which requires the collaboration of a world class team to stage it; the 2017 Sponsors Conference is a key component to this success.

To be held from August 17-20 the Fiji International will be played at Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course which boasts breathtaking views of the Coral Coast and is home to the Natadola Beach Land Estate.
