Bua rugby side is firm for a positive result against Serua in the first round of the Vodafone Vanua championship tomorrow at the Wairiki Village grounds, in Taveuni.

This is the first time for the Northerners to participate in the competition and is adamant for a good result.

Interim president Tevita Robanakadavu told SUNsports the morale is high in camp.

“The players have been camping and preparing well, not only physically but spiritually and mentally as well.

“We respect Serua and we know it will be a good game but, we do not want to lose on our home ground,” Robanakadavu said.

“We have been getting good support from our province and we want to thank everyone who has been very supportive.”

Serua Rugby chairman Sairusi Kunadei also believes they have done the hard yards.

“Our preparation has been going on well, we know Bua will have the advantage on their home soil but we will try our best.

“We have a strong pool of players and when we get to Bua we do not want to leave any stone unturned,” Kunadei said.
