The Ramsden household will be out in full force in today’s 2017 Coca-Cola Games at the ANZ Stadium.

International Secondary School’s junior girls long distance runner Maia Ramsden is confident of another superb performance in the 800m final. This followed her golden finish in the 1500m open girls event in the first day.

“I’m happy with my performance in the 800m heats today but I’m looking good to the final,” Maia said.

Proud mum Margot commended her daughter’s achievement.

“We’re proud of her. She trains every day except for Sunday and is an inspiration to all of us,” she said.

Maia is expecting a strong contest from Adi Cakobau School’s Vani Loloma and Laisiana Seru of Vunisea Secondary School.
