Word is that negotiations among Opposition political leaders have reached a stage where they’ve discussed about who is going to occupy the State House, if they happen to come into power next year. Some say this is important if they are to win more support.


Prices overboard

Shining Star and Sun

Nice to see praise for the Pacific Islands press this past week amidst criticism of the major Australian news media.

Julian Moti QC hailed the Solomon Star and Fiji Sun newspapers for fair reporting about now discredited Australian persecution because of his role as Solomon Islands Attorney-General.

Fijian-born Mr Moti was speaking during the launch in Suva of the book Redeeming Moti, by Australian investigative journalist and commentator Susan Merrell.
