Nasio Domoni won two categories during the 2017 Fiji Performing Rights Association Music Awards last Saturday.

The group took the Best iTaukei Song with Senikakala and the Best Composition awards.

The Best Video category winner was Andrew Bolakoro, better known by his stage name Drixstar with Sau Tiko Viti.

The Vatuwaqa 25-year-old said he was excited to perform at the Music Awards for the first time and it was an awesome feeling to be a part of the annual celebration for musicians in the country.

FPRA chairperson Eremasi Tamanisau Junior said the event at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva was a great celebration of music.

“We thank the sponsorship of organisations that have realised their corporate social responsibility,” said Mr Tamanisau.

Mr Tamanisau said he was humbled that the owner of renowned Californian based guitar manufacturer Taylor Guitars, Bob Taylor had promised to sponsor the event for the next five years.

Other winners at the awards include Best Hip Hop won by Team Stay Focused (TSF) with I’m from the West Coast; the number also was picked for the Best English Song award.
