Nestle’s $75,000 Winner Thought Win Was Prank

What was assumed to be a prank call turned out to be quite the opposite for Josese Bitu.

Last Thursday, the man who lives in Vuci, Nausori, drove home with a Nissan Navara (NP 300) worth $75,000.

Mr Bitu won the Nestle (Fiji) Limited promotions ultimate prize. When he got the call last week with the good news. He assumed it was prank.

“I was in Navua last Thursday when I got the call and I was just shouting and thought it was all a joke,” he said.

Mr Bitu has been working as a driver for the past two years and this is the first vehicle that he can call his own.

He said it wasn’t until he saw his name in the Fiji Sun Saturday paper that he finally believed that he won.

“I will be definitely taking a trip around Viti Levu with my family,” he said.

His wife, Asenaca Daveta, said catching the bus was now over for them.

Nestle (Fiji) Limited brand activation manager Monisha Prasad said they had received between 25,000 to 30,000 entries from around the country.

Twenty lucky winners walked away with  Fiji Rugby jerseys. Mr Bitu drove away with the big prize.

“We are thankful for all those that participated in the promotion and we value all our customers and I encourage people to participate in more competitions for Nestle coming up,” said Ms Prasad.

The draw was done last Thursday at their head office in Wailekutu, Suva.

Nestle (Fiji) Limited has another Kit Kat promotion underway.

To enter, buy any two Nestle chocolate products and write your name on the back of the receipt in participating supermarkets to go into the draw for a chance to win a getaway at the Sheraton Fiji Resort.
