Police reminded of abuse of vehicles

Close to 30 officers were reminded of the Commissioner of Police’s stand on the abuse of police vehicles.

Chief Operations Officer Assistant Commissioner of Police RusiateTudravu reminded the officers from the Eastern Division last week who were chosen to undergo a drivers’ qualifying course.

The three-week course is designed for the officers to prepare them to become authorised drivers for the Police.

ACP Tudravu said it was imperative that the officers valued and appreciated the efforts put in by the hierarchy to secure the vehicles.

The course was held in partnership with the Land Transport Authority Officers have to sit for the Defence Driving Course Test.

The course was held at the Police Special Response Unit in Nasinu.
