Execution of the game plan will be crucial for Premier Distributors Suva if they want to be successful in the Vodafone Fiji FACT which starts today at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori.

Coach Naithan Shivam said while their preparations have gone according to plan, the real test will be whether the players can execute all they have learnt during training.

It brought back memories for Shivam who played for Suva when they won the Fiji FACT in 2012.

“Preparations have gone really well and I think we are ready for the tournament,” Shivam said.

“The boys are eager to play and we are looking forward to the tournament and hopefully we get a good result.

“Things have been really laid out to the players and now it is up to the boys to execute what we have taught them during training.

“When it comes to game day, everything is different, there will be challenges and changes and the boys need to be prepared for that.

“Training and preparing the boys has brought back a lot of memories for me because I was with the team when we won the Fiji FACT six years ago.

“I just hope this year will be our year and it will come down to the boys and what they do on the field.”

Going up against newcomers Rakiraki will not be an easy game for the capital side.

“It will be tough, we have seen their performance in the league and they have done really well,” he said.

“Their morale is high and they will come out fighting and they have prepared so it will be tough for us to win.

“Regardless, the boys are looking forward to getting out on the field tomorrow (today).”

Suva will take on Rakiraki at 1pm today at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori
