Vodafone Fiji FACT hosts Rewa and Lautoka played to a scoreless draw at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori last night.

Rewa coach Marika Rodu said though the boys played well, they will need to take their performance up to another level tomorrow.

“Both teams were equally good and I feel we all tried our best,” Rodu said.

“We expected Lautoka to come out well prepared against us and they gave us a really game, it was just unfortunate the result did not sway in our favour.

“There were a few weaknesses I noticed in our performance and one of that was maintaining possession.

“The more possession a team has the more chances they can create at scoring goals and I think for us that element was missing.

“But we did what we could and we need to go back and reset our objectives; we have one day to prepare before we play again so we need to make use of that.”

Meanwhile, Lautoka coach Kamal Swamy said it was difficult for them to produce a good result in Rewa’s home ground.

“It was a really tough game and Rewa proved a tough opponent for us. Playing in their home ground is not always an easy thing for any team,” Swamy said.

“Our midfield was our downfall, the boys did their best but it was not good enough.

“We will do our homework once again and hope to come out stronger on Saturday.”
