The Veniona Vuki- captained Malolo side aims to record their first win in the Skipper Cup Premiership round three on Saturday.

The side host Macuata at Lawaqa Park at 3pm dubbed a David vs and Goliath battle.

Malolo Rugby vice-president Tevita Sadrata said the side has been training as usual but with a force.

“One of the key areas we are going to work on is the 80 minutes game, which we feel was the downfall in our last games,”he said.

“However, our defence is improving considerably as we have three training session per day.

“We have been camping since Monday at Naevuevu village in Sigatoka.

The side will be fielding a lot of new boys with some veteran players Timoci Daveta, Sorovakatini Tuifagalele, Penaia Soqeta and Vatunicoko Ramasi.

“There were a few minor injuries in the past two games.

“In the last two games our captain Vuki was injured so we had Soqeta replacing him and he got injured in the last game.”

Kalou join Randwick

Meanwhile, BLK Nadroga will be missing out on the services of skipper Sekonaia Kalou when they play Northland at 3pm at Gatward Park, Korovou on Saturday.

Kalou has joined Randwick Rugby Club in Australia.

“It is time to give the rest of the young boys the chance to don the jersey. I guess we all have to move on,” Kalou, the Malomalo, Nadroga native said.
