Suva became the first side from Group B to qualify for the semifinals of the Vodafone Fiji FACT after edging out Lautoka 1-0 at the Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori last night.

Ravinesh Karan Singh finished off a sublime move early in the first half giving Suva a 1-0 win.

It was a highly intensified match where both teams displayed excellent football.

Suva with Ravinesh Karan Singh, Setareki Hughes, Jale Dreloa while Lautoka with the experience of Jone Vono Junior,  Jone Vesikula and Kavaia Rawaqa put up a good show.

Suva were rock solid in defence as Lautoka tried hard to equalize.

Lautoka strikers with the likes of Vono Junior, Samuela Drudru tried their best but could not break Suva defence.

Star Turn: Singh played well.

Comments: Suva coach Nathan Shivam said; “Our players played according to plan and I’m happy with the win. We executed our chances well,”

Lautoka coach Kamal Swamy said; Suva played well and they will have to come back strongly on the last day to have any chance of qualifying.”
