Oil Tanker To Discharge Oil At Suva Port

The oil tanker Chang Hang Xing Yun arrived in Suva on May 20 but berthed at Suva Port on May 22 because of congestion.

This was confirmed to the Fiji Sun by Anare Keni of Campbell’s Shipping Agency.

The oil tanker he said was on its way from Vuda.

“It arrived to Suva on May 20 but  due to congestion at Suva Port it will berth on May 22,” he said.

The oil cargo he said was for Mobil Oil, Total Fiji and Pacific Energy.

He said a total of 8963 metric tonnes were to be discharged Suva Port.

The cargo is from Singapore, he said.

Its next port of call will be Noumea.

By yesterday the oil tanker was still at Suva  Harbour.
