Shahid Delighted With Experience At Labasa Market

Mohammed Shahid, a new market vendor in Labasa is delighted to have a new experience.

The 40-year-old of Lajonia, Labasa has spent more than five months selling fruits and vegetables at Labasa market daily.

“I feel happy selling fruits and vegetables in the market because I am surrounded by market vendors who are also trying to make end meet,” Mr Shaid said.

“I am really thankful to my mother who has given me her table space for my business.

“I do this business to help my three children who are attending primary and secondary schools.

“I usually buy lots of fruits and vegetables from Korotari farmers and sell them on a cheaper price at Labasa market.”

He said every week he made a profit of about $25 to $30.
