Nila Beach Resort in Vuda Point, Lautoka, opened its first 22 villas last week.

Resort managing director Mohan Chinswamy said the $3 million investment was completed in April.

These 22 villas includes 10 beach villas and 12 garden front villas,  he said.

“There was a bit of delay in the project but we’re glad that it was completed.”

Each room is fitted with full air-condition, flat screen TV, an interior Spa, Shower, Wi-Fi, and telephone connectivity.

It employs 18 full-time staff at the moment.

About the resort:

Wedding market

One of their niche markets is the ability to host functions such as beach side wedding and beach side parties at the venue.

“Since the opening of stage one until today we had six weddings held here. We are getting a lot of weddings and birthday party bookings,” he said.

“The rooms are getting booked because of the quality of the rooms they’re very luxurious rooms and we are giving it a very special price as an Opening special.

“We have been getting a very good response with many rooms got booked, so far and mostly people come for a wedding, we have the front beach side which has the beautiful sight.

Restaurant

With their on-site proposition they can cater up to 500 people.

Eshaa Restaurant has been very busy lately because of the taste of the food and its quality.

“Weekends and Public Holidays are always busy and we urge the public to book for their table to avoid the disappointment,” Mr Chinswamy said.

Fiji Tourism Expo 2017

The property made their debut to be part of the Fiji Tourism Expo at the Sheraton Fiji Resort last month.

“The FTE was very useful as that was our first time and a lot of buyers contacted us. Many oversees tourism agents signed a contract with us, through Overseers Tourism Services (OTS),” he said.

Stage 3

Mr Chinswamy confirmed that they will begin with stage 3 at the end of the year.

“This will have 64 rooms that will be on a four storey building and one function centre.

“We will start the project at the end of the year and complete it at the end of 2018,” he said.
